Flint Engineering was incorporated in 2012 with the aim of developing the worlds first flat multichannel heat pipe. The resulting heatmat technology is now the subject of multiple patents and is the basis of several emerging products which utilise its ability to absorb, transfer and release heat energy around 5,000 times more efficiently than copper or aluminium.
The heatmat's isothermal characteristics are used to provide close thermal management of lithium ion cells in EV battery packs, to provide heat and hot water to homes and to improve the efficiency of commercial refrigeration cabinets.
