Flitwick Town Council is a government administration company based out of The Rufus Centre, Steppingley Road, Flitwick, Bedfordshire and comprises of 17 elected Councillors who all volunteer their services to benefit the local community. The Town Council is completely independent of Central Bedfordshire Council and is responsible for delivering a range of services and community activities for Flitwick residents including Allotments, Burial Ground, open spaces such as Manor Park and Millennium Park, Play Areas and Skate Park. Services for young people are delivered through The Hub in the centre of town. The Community Services team organise a range of events and activities for different sectors of the community from dance fitness and monthly lunch club for the over 60s to free movie days and skate competitions. The Town Council also owns and manages The Rufus Centre, one of the most flexible meetings, conference and events venues in Bedfordshire. The Rufus Centre is home to the Rendezvous Cafe & Bar which is a popular venue for the community and local businesses.
