The association has been was founded in 2010. Its operating area is the province of Finnish Lapland. The purpose of the association is to protect the interests of entrepreneurs operating in the tourism sector, promote cooperation and raise the prestige of the tourism industry. It´s 40 member companies throughout Finnish Lapland represents a wide variety of different sized enterpreneurs, from single program activity provider to +20 hotel chain. Member companies represent more than half of Lapland's tourism income.
Association was established as a cooperation entity and networking solution for travel and tourism entrepreneurs. It guides and develops the shared visions and marketing of tourism in Lapland and acts as a contact with authorities, legislators, the entire Finnish tourism industry and cross-border operators.
