As a staunch supporter of Australian manufacturing, the company employs 250 people manufacturing products in five states of Australia, constantly striving to improve. Over this time, Foamex has built strong relationships with builders, architects, designers, and specifiers, and works closely with them to deliver customised and engineered solutions. As Australia’s foremost manufacturer of alternate building and insulation products for residential, commercial, and retail applications, Foamex is a recognised leader in the development of new and innovative uses for expanded and extruded polystyrene. Our range of products are widely used in large-scale infrastructure and civil engineering projects, residential & commercial construction, as well as in creative and retail applications. As active members of Expanded Polystyrene Australia (EPSA) and the Green Building Council of Australia (GBA), the Foamex team is constantly looking at ways to improve business practices and manufacturing processes for a more sustainable future. This environmentally-friendly approach can be seen throughout the organisation – from how our manufacturing plants are powered, what gases used during the manufacturing process, and how we can maximise the recycling of offcuts and waste to create a circular economy.
