Fondation Émergence’s mission is to educate, inform and raise public awareness about the realities of people whose self-identity is based on sexual diversity and non-binary identities and gender expressions. This includes, but is not limited to, lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, intersex and 2-spirit people.
Fondation Émergence is proud of its many achievements: awareness campaigns, studies and surveys on the public’s view of LGBT issues, the creation of a program to raise awareness about LGBT seniors (Aging Gayfully) and, especially, the establishment of the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia.
