Biotechnology is the application of biological organisms and processes to develop new products and services for a variety of fields such as medical, environmental, agricultural, among others. In this organisation we aim at building bridges between this area and many others to produce knowledge applicable to our ever more complex world. Fields such as art, communication and law can sometimes feel like background noise to biotechnology minded individuals. It is with that knowledge in mind that we aim at bringing awareness to improve the professionals in this area, that need to be evermore capable of crossing fields with ease and speak to the public responsibly about the broader implications surrounding the engine of innovation that is biotechnology.
As such, the Think Big in Biotechnology Forum, highlights the following objectives:
1) Create synergies between Biotechnology and other areas/segments of society;
2) Develop critical, disruptive thinking (To “Think BIG”);
3) Promote innovative works and ideas in the field of Biotechnology;
4) Create a safe space for open and critical debate that fosters healthy growth.
