We are an inter- and transdisciplinary research group led by Prof. Dr. Pao-Yu Oei and are part of the Center for Sustainable Energy Systems (ZNES) at Europa Universität Flensburg and co-hosted at the Berlin University of Technology. Our 20+ members include 12+ PhD candidates, several research assistants, and visiting researchers. Our main aim is produce impactful research that helps to design socially acceptable frameworks and pathways for a transition from fossil fuels towards renewable energies.
We are also the hosts of the Coal Transitions research platform, which is an open-access knowledge sharing platform, showcasing research by more than 40 researchers from 15+ research institutions of 5 continents on coal transitions. www.coaltransitions.org
