Our Manifesto What is a fractional executive? Are these expensive individuals that come into an organization to manage, dictate, and oversee? Or are they a new breed of leader that is collaborative, a master practitioner, and effective team builder? We believe that early stage companies require a hands-on-keyboard leader. These are the leaders that are responsible for winning strategy and execution. They are the ones that are in the trenches with the team, helping to build the product, the company, and the culture. They are the ones that are not afraid to get their hands dirty, and are willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. It’s a CMO that knows how to work analytics and put together a paid campaign. It’s a CTO that still revels in the codebase and picks up tickets with the team for fun. It’s the CFO that knows how to build a financial model and can also run the books. It’s the CRO that knows how to build a sales funnel and can also close a deal. In short, our fractionals have not forgotten where they came from, in fact, they want the opportunity to do the work. We believe that the modern fractional executive is a master practitioner. They are the ones that have been there and done that. They are the ones that have the scars to prove it. They are the ones that have the experience to know what works and what doesn’t. They are the ones that know what to do when things go wrong and can keep a straight face while things are melting down. They are the ones that have the experience to know how to get things done. In short, they’re unicorns, and we’ve found them.
