The LUCERITO FOUNDATION, established 20 years ago, currently has its main headquarters in Medellín and additional branches in Santa Fe de Antioquia, Rionegro, and Hispania. It is a private, strictly non-profit organization that devotes all its efforts to providing comprehensive and specialized therapeutic care to a population identified as poor and vulnerable, not affiliated with the contributory or exceptional health regimes. This population includes boys and girls under the age of eighteen (18) who have experienced sexual abuse and mistreatment.
The Colombian Institute of Family Welfare (ICBF) approved its bylaws and granted it legal status through Resolution No. 0218 dated February 16, 2005.
The Foundation’s core mission is to restore the violated rights of children who are victims of abuse and/or sexual violence by reestablishing family and community bonds, providing physical and therapeutic care, ensuring protection, and creating a supportive environment for their recovery. The Foundation’s actions are not driven by any desire for reward and are always guided by dedication and generosity
