The pace of research is accelerating, overwhelming our systems for scientific understanding and leading to confusion, misinformation and poor decisions. The Future Evidence Foundation is here to solve this issue by changing the way the world creates and uses trustworthy knowledge. We started by building Covidence, the world’s leading evidence synthesis technology. The Covidence platform makes it faster, easier and cheaper to create systematic reviews (i.e. accurate summaries of scientific knowledge). We’ve accelerated the work of 300,000 researchers and students, saving them 12 million hours already! We also pioneered the ‘Living Evidence’ approach to producing summaries of scientific knowledge (with some immensely talented colleagues). Conventional static summaries of science are often out-of-date and potentially inaccurate as soon as they’re published. In contrast, Living Evidence is a regularly updated online summary of scientific knowledge that is always up to date with the latest research - scientific knowledge that is both accurate and current! We are thrilled to see this new approach take off around the world.
