Future Quest

Future Quest is a unique UWE Bristol led programme that enables young people, aged four years and upwards, the chance to connect with their future selves and create their own story. We deliver in over 75 schools and colleges, from primary through to further education, in the Bristol and South Gloucestershire region. At Future Quest we believe in the journey: exploring possibilities; celebrating difference; finding purpose; sharing stories. This is how young people grow to recognise and fulfil their potential and to shape the future of our society and workforce. Our bespoke model centres around building relationships with school and college communities to understand the needs of the young people. We use our creative framework to select and slot together activities across four themes: strengths, skills, pathways, and encounters, into progressive enrichment interventions that are unique to the participants and flexible to change. With increased awareness in the climate emergency and social justice movements such as gender identify and race equality - and a rise in youth activism - we know that young people today want to be more in control of their futures than ever before. Our holistic approach to outreach has brought together primary schools, secondary schools, colleges and universities in partnership since 2017 to establish and embed a meaningful, consistent programme for young people who are in education. Our vision is to ensure that every young person has access to opportunities that connect them to their best possible futures.
