Established in 1992, GALAB is an analysis laboratory, which resides in a self-designed high-tech building easily to reach in Hamburg-Bergedorf. GALAB has been residing in the purpose-built high-tech building since 2014 and has by now 180 employees. GALAB is owner-managed and therefore completely financially independent, the company is not subject to any constraints and can, therefore, serve the interests of its customers particularly well.
In the field of pesticide analysis, GALAB has been making a name since 2006 by introducing the multi-method GALAB pesticide 500plus®, an innovative method for determining pesticides. This measurement procedure became an important milestone for GALAB. It underscores the company's core competence to this day since the questions in this subject area are becoming increasingly diverse and complex. Today, the company's know-how is required for virtually everything the end-user can come into contact with. This includes a wide range of consumer goods such as baby diapers and other hygiene articles, toys, clothing or packaging and especially food. The dynamically growing market for organic products goes along with particularly strict expectations regarding compliance with and monitoring of limit values. Here GALAB sets its own priorities and has implemented a standard which is world-leading in analytics.
The area of organic products and baby food takes up an increasing share of the work. Overall, food accounts for 70 percent of GALAB's analytics, 30 percent is used for consumer goods such as hygiene products or foils and textiles. National and international customers trust the indispensable expert knowledge and are looking forward to working in partnership, in which dialogue at eye level plays a significant role. GALAB generates 50 percent of its sales on the domestic market, 30 percent within the European Union and 20 percent worldwide.
