GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics' Dorian Awards go to the best in film, TV and Broadway / Off-Broadway—mainstream to queer!
Founded in 2009, GALECA today consists of over 500 professional critics and journalists (reporters, podcasters, broadcasters...) covering movies, shows and NYC plays for some of the biggest and coolest media outlets in the U.S. and beyond.
We're here to remind haters, and our own beleaguered folks, that the world loves the Q+ eye on everything entertainment (not just cute hair and clothes!). We also advocate for better pay, access and respect for our members, especially those in our communities' most underrepresented segments.
