The Geography and Planning Students' Society (GAPSS) supports and provides opportunities to students in Human Geography and Planning programs, as well as anyone interested in issues surrounding Human Geography and Planning.
Some of our specific initiatives include providing information about professors, classes, graduate school opportunities, and conferences. We also hope to give a voice to Human Geography and Planning students within the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Science and a venue for students to meet other students and professors within the department. We also host and facilitate workshops, events, and other activities that promote the ideas and practices of Human Geography and Planning. Finally, we aim to strengthen the Human Geography and Planning programs at the University of Alberta by attracting new faculty members and students.
