Gaviplas is a company focused on manufacturing flexible containers especially suitable for automatic packaging production. Gaviplas is based in Valencia and has 50-years of experience in the sector. Nowadays, 60% of the production of Gaviplas is being exported to Europe. They have the capability of producing more than 500 million plastic bags annually, meaning they have triplicated their capacity during the last years. Their wide experience in the sector, alongside with their innovative vocation, brought them to develop and commercialize a brand new plastic: the only recyclable LDPE – High Quality Deinked plastic suitable for automatic packaging production. Gaviplas, together with their sister company Cadel Deinking, has developed a process that is able to erase the printed ink from flexible plastic surfaces, which results in a LDPE ink free that substitutes a high percentage of raw material. All of this is done while keeping the highest quality standards that can compete with the virgin polymer. The process, that is water based and in a closed circuit, is the result of 7 years of research in cooperation with the University of Alicante. Patented worldwide and highly beneficial for the environment. It reduces up to 5 times the CO2 emission if we compare it with regular plastic. In addition, it promotes circular economy. With this plastic container deinked, Gaviplas, revolutionizes the manufacturing of the flexible plastic containers, because it has already started to commercialize it under the “KAVE” brand. The products vary from packaging for baby nappies, women hygiene, urinary stress incontinence for adults, wet wipes, and all kinds of soaps. Gaviplas is taking a step ahead and it is already betting for this brand new plastic.
