The Phoenix of Gaza XR

Inspired by the words of Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish “we love life whenever we find a path to it”, we -scholars, journalists, technicians, students, and social justice activists- utilize immersive technologies to build a virtual space that allows users to experience the multi-dimensional life in Gaza as has never been seen on mainstream media. Our goal is to help participants visit Gaza virtually and have the chance to get to know how people live and enjoy their daily activities despite the tough conditions under which they have been living. We are making it possible to visit Gaza via this VR space at a time when it is impossible to do so in person due to the Israeli blockade.
