By examining the distinct and shared experiences of men and women—particularly in the regions where these challenges are most acute, such as Africa, Latin America, South Asia, and Central and Eastern Europe—we uncover nuanced insights that inform effective policy and development solutions. This gender-focused perspective not only highlights disparities but also fosters innovative strategies that resonate with the lived experiences of those most affected.
Our journey began eight years ago under the banner of Enyenaweh Africa, during which we collaborated with global organizations to conduct impact evaluations and gender analyses in diverse areas such as digital payments, social protection, the African tech ecosystem, and migration. These experiences provided us with a robust foundation of knowledge and insights, enabling us to expand our focus to include a broader spectrum of challenges. Today, as GENDERISE, we are dedicated to serving as a thought partner, research and knowledge translator, community convener, and policy advocacy group for both partners and governments.
