At GENDERISE, we believe that the challenges of national security, macroeconomic policies, environmental security, and just energy transitions are not isolated phenomena—they are interwoven forces that shape our daily lives. While these issues are often discussed as separate silos or as having only indirect causal linkages, the reality is that every individual experiences them all at once. Whether it is the impact of domestic security challenges, the ripple effects of economic decisions, or the harsh realities of climate change and environmental degradation, these forces converge and influence our lives, communities, and futures in profound ways. Central to our approach is the belief that gender provides a vital framework for understanding and addressing these multifaceted issues. By examining the distinct and shared experiences of men and women—particularly in the regions where these challenges are most acute, such as Africa, Latin America, South Asia, and Central and Eastern Europe—we uncover nuanced insights that inform effective policy and development solutions. This gender-focused perspective not only highlights disparities but also fosters innovative strategies that resonate with the lived experiences of those most affected. Our journey began eight years ago under the banner of Enyenaweh Africa, during which we collaborated with global organizations to conduct impact evaluations and gender analyses in diverse areas such as digital payments, social protection, the African tech ecosystem, and migration. These experiences provided us with a robust foundation of knowledge and insights, enabling us to expand our focus to include a broader spectrum of challenges. Today, as GENDERISE, we are dedicated to serving as a thought partner, research and knowledge translator, community convener, and policy advocacy group for both partners and governments. We are eager to connect with individuals and organizations that are working on issues related to national security, ma
