GIC-CI represents the companies processing raw cashew nuts into cashew kernels in the country of Côte d'Ivoire. While our country is the world's largest producer of cashew nuts, less than a tenth of the production is processed locally. GIC-CI and its members support the development of such local processing in order to keep the value added in the country of origin and contribute to the Ivoirian economic development.
GIC-CI représente les entreprises transformant des noix de cajou brutes en amandes de noix de cajou dans le pays de la Côte d'Ivoire. Alors que notre pays est le premier producteur mondial de noix de cajou, moins d'un dixième de la production est transformé localement. Le GIC-CI et ses membres soutiennent le développement d'une telle transformation locale afin de maintenir la valeur ajoutée dans le pays d'origine et de contribuer au développement économique ivoirien.
