Gift of Life builds awareness about the life-saving importance of organ, eye, and tissue donation and provides mentoring support of transplant patients and their families.
Each year, its Life Savers program educators provide classroom presentations to approximately 30,000 high school students and families in more than 100 high schools and community organizations in Kansas and Missouri. Volunteer transplant mentors, each of whom has been on their own transplant journey, provide education, support, insight, and encouragement to transplant patients, living donors, care partners, and family members.
