We are Girls for Algorithmic Justice, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working to address AI harms toward girls and women. We leverage advocacy, grassroots organizing, and education to amplify the voices of youth and solve AI issues with a disproportionate impact on people of marginalized gender identities. We are currently focused on issues including explicit deepfakes, algorithmic bias, and gender disparities in AI development.
We are the world's largest youth organization for gender equity in AI policy, with 200+ volunteers across 26 countries. We have received support from major organizations including Prudential, Civics Unplugged, Ashoka, and Mary Kay. Our work has been recognized by the Prudential Emerging Visionaries program and the George H.W. Bush Points of Light Award. We have been covered by Nasdaq, Yahoo News, MSNBC, News12, and USA Today, and received a letter of commendation from New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy.
