Historically, Glancy was a community minded individual that united the Sequatchie village, established the village water works, generated his own electric power for the village’s only employer, managed the region’s land and water (including flood control) with intelligent wit, contributed to the education of children through his namesake camp, and led the village’s only major employer to global success and high quality.
His namesake non-profit, Glancy Community Development, carries on his legacy with stringent focus on community development.
