Global Genomic Medicine Collaborative (GGMC)

The Global Genomic Medicine Collaborative (GGMC) is a global organization with a mission to advance genomic medicine integration efforts worldwide. Built on the need for better coordination and collaboration of genomic medicine organizations and programs across the globe, GGMC strives to bring these efforts together under one roof, leveraging the profound work being done in the genomic medicine arena and improving global health. G2MC is identifying opportunities to foster global collaboration to demonstrate value and the effective use of genomics in medicine. The G2MC was started as an ‘action collaborative’ in the United States National Academies of Medicine and also was supported by the National Human Genome Research Institute of the NIH. Now as an independent not-for-profit charitable organization, it seeks to improve global health by catalyzing the implementation of genomic tools and knowledge into health care delivery globally.
