Based out of Silicon Valley, GlobeCap focuses on facilitating secondary transactions between buyers-sellers of mid to late-stage pre-IPO companies, primarily in the technology sector. We provide our clients access to shares of such VC-backed pre-IPO companies through direct or SPV structure. Our clients predominantly include family offices, HNIs, and VCs, based across the globe, majorly in the US, the UK, Singapore, and India. We also offer individual shareholders (such as employees of pre-IPO companies holding ESOPs/ RSUs) liquidity by facilitating the sale of such holdings to our global network of investors.

GlobeCap was founded by Shilpa Verma, who spent more than a decade accumulating experience in VC, private equity, investment banking, and finance, serving clients across geographies. Immediately before founding GlobeCap, she worked as a VP at a VC in Silicon Valley. Shilpa also spent significant years with an Advent International-backed PE with an AUM of approximately $5 billion, where she was an influential member of the Investment team. Shilpa has worked with EY and Credit Suisse in multiple roles catering to various aspects of M&A deals in the APAC region. She carries a post-graduate diploma in business administration (MBA) and an undergraduate degree in commerce (with specialization in finance and accounting) from India. She holds CA (akin to US CPA in India) and CS licenses from India and Series 7 and 63 securities licenses from the US.
