Glover Industries, Inc

Glover Industries, Inc company information, Employees & Contact Information

Glover Industries, Inc. was founded in 1997 by Oscar J. Glover. It grew out of his original company Railroad Car Service Corp. in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1972. Mr. Glover subsequently founded Glover Group, Inc. opening four different railroad car maintenance facilities over the years to include shops in Corbin, KY; Bridgeport, NE; and Hastings, NE. In 1980, he built the Sidney and Lowe Railroad (reporting mark SLGG) a short line switching railroad located north of Sidney, Nebraska, and connects the BNSF Railway at Huntsman, Nebraska with the Union Pacific Railroad at Bronson, Nebraska. It was founded to service a railroad car maintenance and repair facility that Mr. Glover had built in the area near the U.S. Army's Big Sioux Depot. Mr. Glover later jointly built a grain storage and transfer facility that is still serviced by the Sidney & Lowe Railroad. It became a common carrier in 1982. In 1996, Progress Rail Service purchased Glover Group, Inc. and the Sidney & Lowe Railroad. One year later Mr. Glover founded Glover Industries, Inc. headquartered in Sidney, NE.
