RAPID ONE OFF AND LOW VOLUME SPECIALIST COMPONENT PRODUCTION GMD has extensive experience in responding urgently in relation to machined, turned and printed components using CNC and manual technology and using various advanced/varied materials. REVERSE ENGINEERING Our team is experienced in reverse engineering and it’s often the only way to remake a part that may be obsolete or un-identifiable. We use calibrated measuring equipment and advanced techniques along with our CAD packages to reconstruct and reverse engineer anything we are presented with. We have a long history of solving problems for everything from production optimisation to safety engineering, mould and press tooling and special purpose machinery. DESIGN & CAD/CAM We use several different CAD packages for both 2D and 3D modelling to either assist in customer designs or create original designs to customer specification. We design for manufacture to ensure the highest quality in the final product. At GMD we use 3D models – our own, or customer supplied – to quickly program and prove out CNC machining cycles using CAM software.
