Golden Compound GmbH was founded in 2014 with the vision to develop sustainable materials from waste materials and thereby contribute to the reduction of plastic waste. The company uses sunflower hulls, a by-product of the food industry, to produce innovative sunflower plastic composites. These materials not only provide an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional plastics, but also offer outstanding process-optimizing properties in manufacturing. Golden Compound has developed two key materials: GC pro, a bio-based material for demanding injection molding applications, and GC green, which is biodegradable. These materials are widely used, from technical applications to home compostable coffee capsules, and make a valuable contribution to the development of a circular economy. Thermoforming applications are also possible with Sunflower Plastic Composites. With a focus on innovation and sustainability, Golden Compound offers companies in a wide range of industries tailor-made solutions that meet the highest technical requirements while making a positive contribution to environmental protection.
