Gozour Foundation for Development (GFD) is an Egyptian non-profit organization registered under the Ministry of Social Solidarity, No. 7885/2010. The Foundation was established to become a catalytic agent in tackling the underlying causes of underdevelopment and to address major socio-economic challenges. The Foundation believes that simply addressing the symptoms without tackling the root causes creates more challenges in the long run. GFD works at the community level with vulnerable and marginalized groups. Its long-term objective is to improve the living conditions of individuals emanating from dire situations sustainably by ensuring that they become self-sufficient actors in their communities. Sustainability is also a key focus, with GFD equipping stakeholders with the skills and knowledge necessary for self-directed, self-sustaining change. Furthermore, for GFD, innovation and flexibility play a key role in designing innovative solutions to address the ever-changing developmental challenges.
