The Great Regional City Challenge Inc has a Vision that people, businesses, organisations and government can work together to make Greater Launceston, including the Tamar and Meander Valleys, one of the great regional cities of the world; a region that is creative, innovative, liveable, diverse and better connected.
The Great Regional City Challenge asks the region to submit projects, to vote to find the best projects and to fund projects that will help this region be, not just good, but great!
In 2020 $100,000 in seed funding, and hands-on support, was offered from the community and government for a dozen projects.
In 2021-22 The Great Regional City Challenge again offered $100,000 in cash funding plus support to continue the good work.
Fourteen projects were selected for funding to make this exciting Vision a reality.
We plan on continuing our mission over the next 10 years and beyond!
