HISTORY
Chris Jones founded Groundswell in 2018 after practicing in the Pacific Northwest for 18 years. Chris’ experience is rooted in innovation, sustainability and commitment to the urban realm. Chris has served public and private clients throughout the Northwest and nationally, playing integral roles in the design of distinctive commissions including parks, waterfronts, museum expansions, civic open spaces, academic campuses, commercial developments, art installations, and private residences throughout the Western States.

We believe that investing in our community is a long-term commitment taught by doing. Our deep partnership with clients and communities shapes our connection and inspiration to place. Groundswell supports communities through social engagement, collaboration, and grant writing. We work with youth, cities, architects, engineers, city councils, homeowners, residents, neighbors, stakeholders and friends to create memorable, sustainable spaces.
