GCPA also hosts the annual MISO SPP Regional and emPOWERing Women Leadership Conferences, along with regular Virtual Forums and specialized workshops on relevant topics. Gulf Coast Power Association was originally formed in Houston in 1983 as the Gulf Coast Cogeneration Association The association name was changed officially in 1995 to Gulf Coast Power Association (GCPA). GCPA membership has increased steadily over the years, both in numbers and in the diversity of industry segments represented. The GCPA Mission is to promote an improved understanding of electric power markets through education and collaboration for those in the ERCOT, MISO and SPP Regions.
