Gurukul Ventures is a proprietary investment firm that focuses on long term wealth creation. We are conservative in our investment style with an emphasis on wealth preservation and compounding over the long term. We are passive investors.
Our primary area of investment has been in real estate as we believe that real estate (especially at the land level) offers great wealth appreciation over time without much risk. Our focus areas has been Tier 1 cities in South and West (Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai). We also look at related sectors like Hospitality, Healthcare and Education.
Lately we have started looking at public market investments as long-only passive investors. We are also keen at early/growth stage investments into the digital space. Considering the risk-return profile of such investments, less than 10% of our capital is invested in Digital.
Being a proprietary investment firm, we work with very few external investors, and they tend to be Ultra HNIs (networth Rs 1000 crores or more) through sidecar structures. We don’t charge any management fees and our incentives are completely transparent and aligned with our investors.
