In 1997, the GUTcertifizierungsgesellschaft für Managementsysteme (GUT Certification Company for Management Systems) was founded - separated and spun off from the engineering and consulting company for business organisation and environmental protection GUT, which had existed since 1986. When GUTcert joined the AFNOR Group (Association Francaise de Normalisation) in May 2008, it became a strong partner and grew rapidly - the number of employees tripled in the following 3 years. Due to the numerous accreditations of GUTcert and the successful partnership with AFNOR, international business also increased significantly: We now offer the entire range of certification services at home and abroad. Audits according to IATF 16949 in the automotive sector or certifications for railway suppliers according to IRIS can be combined with audits according to ISO 9001, ISO 50001, ISO 14001, EMAS or BS OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001. The core business of GUTcert is the certification of management systems according to the worldwide recognized standards of the International Standard Organization (ISO). In addition, we also audit AZAV carriers for the German Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit). We validate environmental declarations in accordance with the European EMAS standard and, as an independent environmental verifier and recognised expert organisation, verify emissions reporting in accordance with EU-ETS and greenhouse gas emissions (carbon footprints). Testing services for the energy industry, such as tests according to the CHP Act, certification of primary energy factors or proofs and environmental expertises according to the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) further enhance our profile. And the guide to efficient energy management according to ISO 50001, which we developed, is now available in several languages. Since 2010, we have been accredited to certify sustainable biomass for fuel and energy use according to ISCC and REDcert worldwide.
