We are the holding company connected to the University of Gothenburg. We are both an incubator and investor, with the aim to develop new companies based on research results from and leading edge competency of the University of Gothenburg.
The mission is that the knowledge developed at the university will come to the benefit of the society.
To date GU Ventures has financed and initiated over 150 companies and a number of projects, that have lead to 30 exits and 11 IPOs. By active support from the owners, added value is created in the portfolio companies in order to ensure business, market and technological development, as well as in the area of intellectual property rights, managerial and organisational structures, and financing. 87% of our portfolio-companies contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals set by the UN.
