During one of our journey around foothills of Himalayan ranges we met a master craftsman Mehar Ji his story of preserving Kathuguni art form which he told was sustaining 20 villages and 100+ families, we incorporated Gyal-Tso in April’24 with a vision to add 100 more villages and 1000 more families to this effluent trade by blending in innovative processes and technology with the artistry performed by the hands of artisans. The idea of making a unique eyewear using a special material called “wood “through the skilled hands of artisan and the texture of natural grain pattern that a piece of wood have which flows across the body of these eyewear. Something truly unique to offer to the eyewear industry which is driven by the monotonicity of mass produced plastic and metal alternatives, with labels , price tags and fast fashion laying at core of this eyewear industry. With our focus to blend artistry with high performance, we have evolved over half a decade bridging the gap and now our wooden eyewear is not only a beautiful piece of art, but also lightweight, durable, comfortable fit, and offers enhanced vision through premium lenses making it high on performance, this wooden eyewear’s collection is available in several designs and shades of wood. Apart from this we are incubated at NSRCEL-IIM Bangalore and are collaborated with prestigious R&D Labs.
