Hellenic Association of Energy Storage Systems

The continuous technological development and upgrading of energy storage systems, especially Electricity Storage Systems, will play a catalytic role in the energy transition and, by extension, in the decarbonization of the Greek economy. By providing flexibility, stability, and fast balancing services, this secure technology ensures the vital conditions needed for maximizing the integration of renewable energy sources (RES) and the necessary electrification of other energy sectors in the economy. Therefore, Institute of Energy, Environment, and Climate Change (IEECC) of the Hellenic Mediterranean University, in collaboration with leading Greek and international companies (EDF Renewable Hellas, EDPR Greece, Principia, Metlen, HELLENiQ Renewables) in the energy sector, establishes the Hellenic Association of Energy Storage Systems (H.A.E.S.S.). H.A.E.S.S. is committed to contributing to the achievement of the energy transition in Greece through the wide integration of storage systems in the respective energy markets, with the ultimate goal of climate neutrality.
