Halfpenny Green Wine Estate is an award winning vineyard, set in South Staffordshire's undulating slopes on light, sandy free-draining soil.
Martin Vickers planted 400 vines on a tiny patch of land on their farm in 1983 and Clive and Lisa Vickers has been spearheading incredible levels of growth ever since, in a family-run operation like no other.
Hundreds of thousands of grapes are squashed across 30 acres each year, with 14 own-label wines carefully crafted including seven whites, three red and rosés and four sparkling wines.
Supplementing the wine operation is a charming restaurant, deli and gift shop – all run by Lisa Vickers, where everything runs like clockwork.
More blossoming growth can be seen in an enticing craft village and even a three-acre zoo at the back of the estate, housing meercats, reptiles and birds of prey.
It's a special place, with a unique wine tour highly recommend to appreciate how the magic happens first hand!
