HAMERTEC was created following the success of the Hammer Innovation Project where the applied technology was used, and which has had the support of the CDTI. The target clients are: - Infrastructure management companies - Railway operators - Construction companies - Companies specialized in asset management HAMERTEC is made up of the railway firms Telice and Inse Rail, the Caminos de Hierro Foundation, and ANCO, a leading US engineering company in systems for testing the strength and vibration of materials, equipment and structures. The first structures were tested in February 2018, under the institutional supervision of ADIF, with perfectly satisfactory results. Applications - Preventive maintenance: analysis of the deterioration of a structure over time - Dynamic load tests for commissioning of new structures - Predictive maintenance: planning of structural evolution ex ante and efficient management of the investmen - Inspection of structures in service: when specific damage is detected, due to increased dynamic load, etc. - Modification of conditions of use: increased speed, type of trains, etc. - R&D&I activities Concept - New technology for analyzing the dynamic behaviour of railway structures - Excitation device that applies loads with controlled magnitudes, amplitudes, and frequencies to the structure. - Analysis of the structural response to the dynamic loads that are specifically applied. - Sensor installation and real-time monitoring of the structure to validate and compare theoretical models Services Maintenance - Predictive maintenance of railway structures - Safety and inspection reports - Mapping of the condition of the structures in a railway network - Budget planning (efficient investment reports) Operation - Speed increase on existing line - Adaptation to new traffic (passengers, cargo, new rolling stock) Construction - Dynamic load test: internal control of execution and/or acceptance of works
