HappyGram.org is a card delivery service for senior communities. We allow the family and friends of senior residents to use their smartphones or computers to send free messages and photos to their loved ones living in senior communities.
Our mission with HappyGram is to decrease loneliness and increase happiness in retirement homes by helping seniors feel more connected by receiving more meaningful mail.
How does it work?
• We format the messages and photos into a letter-sized "HappyGram" card that is emailed to the senior community.
• The community prints and delivers the HappyGrams to the resident's mailboxes, so they receive their HappyGrams just like ordinary mail.
HappyGram removes the resistance to reach out by providing an efficient and free solution to send a senior the gift of connection...a connection the resident can continue to revisit and cherish whenever they are feeling lonely.
Researchers have found that loneliness is just as harmful as smoking 15 cigarettes a day and that lonely people are 50% more likely to die prematurely than those with healthy social relationships. HappyGram is free to the sender, only takes a few minutes, and can make all the difference for a senior resident.
