Hawks and Honey apparel was started in 2014 after blogging for several years owner and artist, Jennifer Lind Schutsky, wanted to revisit her passion for sewing and silk screening. While keeping keeping the name hawks and honey inspired by her daughters the oldest Hawk and youngest Honey she launched her apparel line in Spring of 2014. Hawks and Honey Apparel is inspired by the creative energy of everyday life. Durable, yet soft, Hawks and Honey's Mission is to provide apparel for women and children while maintaining environmental integrity and providing handmade products inspired by daily life that values form as much as function. Hawks and Honey creates amazing local experiences by continual involvement with local events. "Being present and interacting with my customers is the best part of being a small business owner, not only do I take artistic suggestions seriously but I also integrate custom orders into my business routine, giving customers that extra touch of personalization. In addition to the apparel, Hawks and Honey is a blog that features D.I.Y. Projects, local collaborations, and natural living. My apparel is one small facet of my talents. In addition to making the apparel, hosting workshops and teaching others how to sew and silkscreen, & helping others find their creativity is a passion of mine."
