Still, Helen’s testimony before her MP and the Charity Commission contributed to sweeping safeguarding reforms in the aid sector, earning her the UK Whistleblower Award for her courage and commitment to justice. Her advocacy for her autistic son led to her own late autism diagnosis, inspiring her pioneering investigations into the link between autism and whistleblowing - an area gaining recognition. As one of the few openly autistic CEOs in the UK charity sector, Helen champions inclusive leadership and workplace neurodiversity.
