HELLENIC DAIRIES SA is a family business of 3rd generation that operates in the dairy sector, continuing its uninterrupted operation and contribution to the Greek economy and to the primary production. It is present not only in the Greek market but also in 47 foreign countries. At the same time, for the HELLENIC DAIRIES SA, the Corporate Social Responsibility constitutes a part of a long-term strategy. Precisely, it is the only dairy company in Southeast Europe that has installed an integrated waste treatment plant including a biogas plant. More specifically, the installation of the biogas plant is an innovative investment, unique in Europe in the dairy sector, valued at 10 million euros. It aims at the efficient treatment of all liquid waste coming from the production activities of the plant. This project-based on the production of green energy shows our corporate responsibility towards the environment and society. By reducing the waste, the conventional energy, the carbon dioxide, and the pollution, we contribute to the overall effort for a better quality of life dedicated to future generations.
