HERicanes is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting female leadership and empowerment through education, collaboration, support, and mentoring. We believe that a positive team experience, especially through athletic endeavors and service, fosters character development and enriches life skills, building powerful and confident girls and women.
Through a series of SpeakHER events and a cascading mentorship program, our female participants learn resilience, courage, authenticity, and service to others from inspiring women of all ages and spheres of influence.
Our programs are divided into age-appropriate activities: girls 9-12, teenage girls, female collegiate athletes, and female professionals.
HERicanes is a fiscally sponsored project of Community Initiatives, which is registered as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
We are leveraging the power and support of 25 years of experience from Community Initiatives.
