The Hertfordshire Visual Arts Forum (HVAF) is the only countywide visual arts organisation for Hertfordshire. No matter what sort of interest you have in the visual arts, full or part-time, as a amateur or professional artist, art lover or collector, HVAF is for you!
The Forum aims to:
- Provide ways for artists of all disciplines, amateur or professional, to meet and exchange ideas and information.
- Encourage professionalism and high standards in its members and their dealings with artists' employers, facilitators, galleries and supporters.
- Raise awareness of and promote accessibility to the visual arts in Hertfordshire.
- Lobby for wider opportunities for artists and better facilities for the visual arts.
- Represent the County's artists to Local, County, Regional and National bodies.
The Forum organises the following:
- Quarterly meetings with guest artists and speakers, open to all members and guests.
- Regular newsletters with information, features and members' news.
- Subsidiary groups with their own programmes open to all members.
- An annual Open Studios event for artists to open their studios to the public.
- A Website to provide information and to publicise the Forum, its members, the Open Studios event and other activities.
