Starting from the development of Kolon's artificial kidney membrane in 1986, we have continuously developed medical membranes, water purifier membranes, and wastewater membranes. In 2001, Kolon's water purifier business became Hifil Tech. INC., and has been carrying out a water purifier-centered business. In 2020, all kinds of membrane businesses of Kolon Industries were separated into HifilM Inc., and HifilM Inc. is leading all membrane-related businesses. With about 40 years of know-how accumulated on membranes, we are producing world-class membranes. Our industrial membranes are producing world-class membranes for wastewater treatment based on our own accumulated membrane production technology. Our membrane fibers are never broken or pulled out during operation based on their high tensile strength. Recently, our company has developed an MBR method that does not use air, and it has been able to operate smoothly even in wastewater that requires a high concentration of MLSS, which cannot be operated smoothly with the general membrane MBR process. Based on this production technology know-how and our own special construction method, we have about 400 installations and a cumulative throughput of 500,000T/D.
