GFR90 was formed to commercialize and further develop a WEARABLE ARTIFICIAL KIDNEY. This award-winning device has been in development for over eight years, has patents in Canada, USA and other regions, and has been successfully used with dialysis patients. There are over 800,000 dialysis patients in North America. Most of these must attend a dialysis clinic or hospital two to three times a week for dialysis because they suffer from end stage kidney disease, that is, their kidneys no longer work effectively. Although this is life-saving therapy, this intermittency creates medical, social, and mental health issues which result in reduced quality and length of life.
