Hoffman Leakey Architects LLC is a small architecture firm located in beautiful downtown Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, 10 miles from State College and The Pennsylvania State University. We specialize in diverse, small and midsized projects in Central Pennsylvania and beyond. We believe that our success is attributed to the team of professionals and consultants we surround ourselves with, and our skill at the art of managing a team. Our clients become more like family and enjoy our unique style of Project, Design, and Management that puts foremost importance on client involvement and participation. In 1973, Robert Hoffman began his practice in a two story “Little Brick” adjacent to Duffy’s Tavern in Boalsburg. In the early years, the practice focused mainly upon residential construction along with a few civic projects earning the firm, "Centre Region Conscientious Award" for community improvement. From that humble beginning and over the next 30 years, the firm expanded its project diversity and scale of work. Hoffman Leakey Architects, LLC now focuses on many significant Region and University projects. HLA has employed and trained a number of young aspiring architects in the business of Architecture, each participating in the total process from initial design to construction administration. J. Michael Leakey joined Robert Hoffman as a partner in January 2014. Along with his 15 years' experience as an Architect and Project Manager for Penn State University, Michael also brings 20 years of construction and contracting experience.
