HoloCIM Project

The Holographic Cloud Ising Machine (HoloCIM) initiative spans 24 months, from February 2023 to January 2025, funded by the CO-DEVELOP program. Its goal is to advance problem-solving approaches in complex optimization. HoloCIM delves into holography-based photonic Ising Machines, applying holographic and nonlinear photonics principles to tackle intricate optimization challenges with numerous variables. A key feature is the introduction of a Spatial Holographic Ising Machine, designed for scalability and robust connectivity. Innovative spin encoding technology boosts system performance, complemented by integration with a cloud platform for accessible third-party use. The user-friendly online interface caters to diverse entities, including research institutions, academia, and industry, encouraging collaborative endeavors. The project's strategy combines hardware enhancements and cloud solutions to facilitate effective large-scale optimization problem-solving.
