Honey Authenticity Network UK

Shocked at the increase in honey fraud around the world, we formed HAN (UK) as an organisation to raise awareness of this issue. Honey is the 2nd most adulterated food in the world, and around the world (and in the UK) the businesses of honey producers are being undermined by imports of cheap adulterated honey. This ultimately will have a knock on effect on our food security as there will be less managed bees to pollinate our crops. We are currently working with Aston University on the development of a new test for honey authenticity. Happy to give presentations about the subject.
