During the Second World War, America’s General Eisenhower and Great Britain’s Field Marshal Montgomery chose the Hotel St. Gotthard as the venue for their talks in 1942. It’s been a popular meeting place ever since! Other eminent guests over the years have included Switzerland’s most famous soldier Henri Guisan, Henry Kissinger, the Dalai Lama, Maria Callas, Arnold Schwarzenegger and various Swiss Federal Assemblies
