Human Rights & Science (HR&S) is an enterprise targeting social good that empowers scientific research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in Sub-Saharan African countries. Our innovative management strategy, ROPE (Real-time Outcome Planning & Evaluation), drives sustainable socioeconomic development through collaborative partnerships. HR&S operates through local Branches in eight Sub-Saharan African countries, focusing on research management, laboratory optimization, entrepreneurship support, and serving underserved communities. We offer specialized coaching services in scientific capacity strengthening, laboratory management, and business management. Founded in 2015 by Assoc. Prof. Cecilia Öman, HR&S aims to replace aid dependency with equitable international partnerships. Our core values include transparency, accountability, trust, equity, and resilience. We work in synergy with Action10, a Swedish volunteer organization that raises funds for concessional loans to local entrepreneurs through our Branches. HR&S creates lasting impact and fosters sustainable economies across Sub-Saharan Africa by emphasizing local stakeholder ambitions and real-time assessments.
